PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the recognition accuracy and efficiency by adequately changing the restriction on a model previously registered for voice recognition by utilizing the information on the position of a user or a recognition apparatus. SOLUTION: A microphone 11 captures voice into the system and sends the voice to a speech recognition section 12. A position detecting section 13 detects the present position of the system (voice recognition apparatus) and sends the detected position to a voice recognition state determining section 14. The voice recognition state determining section 14 determines the state in accordance with the present position of the system and changes the state of the voice recognition section 12. The voice recognition section 12 recognizes the voices obtd. from the microphone 11 according to the state determined by the voice recognition state determining section 14 and sends the result of the voice recognition to a display 15. The display 15 displays the result of the voice recognition. The state of the apparatus is changed, i.e., the restriction at the time of the recognition is dynamically changed by using the information on the position of the user or the voice recognition apparatus, to obtain the result of the recognition having better accuracy. |
