PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder having a configuration capable of informing, before detecting by a remaining quantity detection sensor, that the remaining quantity of a coloring material is a little. SOLUTION: After a cassette 5 is replaced with a fresh one, the number of sheets to be recorded is counted until a remaining quantity detection sensor 4 detects that the remaining quantity of a coloring material in the cassette 5 is a little and is stored into a RAM 6 as the number of sheets corresponding to the very little-remaining quantity. After the next replacement of the cassette 5, the effect that the remaining quantity of the coloring material is a little, is displayed onto a display part 2 at either earlier point of time when the number of sheets to be recorded reaches the number of the sheets corresponding to the very little remaining quantity or when being detected by the remaining quantity direction sensor. |
