PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply an automatic transaction device where security can be improved and operability can be improved for a person in charge. SOLUTION: An operand card reader part 200 controlling the opening/closing of a back door 24 based on information stored in an operand card is installed at the back door 24 of an automatic transaction device 100. The operand card reader 20 reads information from the operand card and receives the input of a password by a ten key board. When the password is matched with password information contained in information which is read, the back door 24 is opened and unlocks a unit and a safe based on right information which is read from the operand card.
