PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide received image data by print output even when the capacity of an image memory lacks. SOLUTION: A scanner 22 reads the image data of an original as a transmission object and the image memory 26 stores the image data read by the scanner 22. A print control part 28 prints and outputs the image data stored in the image memory 26 and a sensor 30 monitors whether or not the print control part 28 is in a state incapable of the print output. A communication control part 32 transmits the image data stored in the image memory 26 to an external facsimile equipment to be stored in the case of detecting that the print control part 28 is turned to the state incapable of the print output and receives the image data stored in the external facsimile equipment and stores them in the image memory 26 in the case of detecting that the print control part 28 becomes the state capable of the print output. Thus, without increasing work burdens on both transmission and reception sides, the result of the print output by the received image data is obtained.
