<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent bird damages for a long time stably by constituting an insulating reinforcing substance of a substance obtained by uniting a scaled-up shade which covers the lowest shade of a supporting insulator, and a cylindrical part which covers the lower metal fittings of the supporting insulator into a body with a material having rubber elasticity. SOLUTION: An insulating reinforcing substance 21 is fitted to the lower part of a supporting insulator 11. This insulating reinforcing substance 21 is a substance obtained by uniting a scaled-up shade 25 which covers the lowest shade 23 of the supporting insulator 11, and a cylindrical part 27 which covers the lower metal fittings 15 of the insulator 11 into a body with a material having rubber elasticity. By fitting the scaled-up shade 25 to the lower part of the supporting insulator 11, in this way, it becomes possible to lessen grounding faults caused by drooping of a wire, when a bird sits on the tip part of the arm of an iron tower with a wire in its beak. Besides, the insulating reinforcing substance 21 can be fitted to the lower part of the supporting insulator 11 simply and stably just like covering it, since the insulating reinforcing substance 21 has rubber elasticity. And fear of being damaged becomes little, and bird damage can be prevented for a long time.</p> |
