PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor integrated circuit capable of instantaneously detecting abnormality and executing a proper countermeasure based on the detection by generating interruption when an output signal level from a microprocessor is different from a level to be originally outputted due to the destruction or the like of an output terminal. SOLUTION: The semiconductor integrated circuit includes a microprocessor 38 and is constituted so as to output an output from an output data buffer 31 to an output terminal 33 through an output buffer 32. The microprocessor 38 is provided with a comparator circuit 34 for comparing the signal level of the output terminal 33 with the output signal level of the buffer 31, an interruption control circuit 36 to be driven based on the compared result of the circuit 36 and a circuit control means 39 to be controlled in accordance with the operation of the circuit 36 and constituted so as to drive the circuit 36 when the signal level of the terminal 33 does not coincide with the output signal level of the buffer 31.
