PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operation efficiency of data conversion in a data converter for converting data at receiving and delivering of data between different CADs(computer-aided design). SOLUTION: A parameter storing means 1 stores in advance a parameter for converting data between various kinds of CADs. When an operation means 5 gives a reading instruction, a parameter reading means 2 reads a parameter optimum for data conversion of CAD into receive/deliver from the means 1. This read optimum parameter is displayed on a monitor 4 by a parameter display means 3. An operator confirms the parameter on the monitor 4 and gives a data converting instruction, if the contents are satisfactory. Thus, according to the parameter displayed on the monitor 4, a data conversion means 6 converts the CAD data.
