continuous method of making a pressure sensitive skin adhesive sheet material comprises the steps of providing a base layer 120 of a first polymer and applying continuously to the base layer a coating medium 112 comprising a second polymer dissolved or dispersed in a liquid and allowing the coating medium to diffuse into the base layer to provide the pressure sensitive skin adhesive sheet material. The liquid may be a drug. The coating medium may be applied to the base layer using gravure coating or extrusion die coating. The base layer may be carried on a substrate. The first polymer and the second polymer may be an acrylate polymer.
