SUPER SCALAR PROCESSING SYSTEM AND DATA PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a super scalar processing system and a data processing system easily reinforcing an architecture function. SOLUTION: This system is provided with an instruction fetch unit 102 for fetching an instruction set and an execution unit 104 provided with a function for simultaneously and parallelly executing plural instructions through the parallel array of function units. The instruction fetch unit 102 holds the prescribed number of the instructions in an instruction buffer and the execution unit 104 is provided with an instruction selection unit connected to the instruction buffer for selecting the instruction to be executed and the plural function units for executing an operation specified by the instruction. The instruction selection unit is provided with an instruction scheduler connected to an instruction decoder for judging whether or not the instruction to be executed is usable, relating logic and the function unit for judging respective execution statuses respectively, for scheduling the start of processing of the instruction through the function unit.
