PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent heat generation of an electric motor more effectively by making the temperature of the coil of the motor whose power at the time of power running control is limited, higher than that of the motor coil at the time of regenerative control. SOLUTION: A power running control unit 16 starts to limit the output of an electric motor 14, when the temperature of the motor coil becomes higher than a specified second temperature, and a regenerative control unit 18 starts to limit the output of the electric motor 14, when the temperature of the motor coil becomes higher than a first temperature lower than the second temperature. Namely, limitation of the output of the electric motor 14 is started from a lower temperature when regenerative control is being performed, compared to the case of power running control. Besides, it is comparatively easy to limit motor output at the time of regenerative control. Consequently, it becomes possible to prevent heat generation of the electric motor 14, without exerting a big influence on the running of an electric car. |
