PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-voltage power supply wherein the loss in a drive circuit is minimized and a number of parts can be reduced. SOLUTION: The power supply is provided with a transformer 121 which produces high-voltage output to a load, and drive transistors 107, 117 which alternately perform switching operation to drive the transformer 121. The charging and discharging potentials of capacitors 105, 115 for abruptly letting out and in the base current of the drive transistors 107, 117 is utilized to apply a bias to the emitter potentials of transistors 102, 112 in the stage preceding to the drive transistors 107, 117, and reference voltages VH, VL are thereby set to avoid the drive transistors 107, 117 from being simultaneously turned on. |
