PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite optical switch, which is most suitably used for control of a device on a vehicle, and an optical communication equipment using this composite optical switch by transmitting turning-on/off of a switch with an optical signal in a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A mechanical switch 13 provided with plural key tops 14, first and second light guides 19 and 20 facing each other, and plural third light guides connecting first and second light guides 19 and 20 are formed in a case 11. The mechanical switch 13 is provided with switches 30 which intercept or transmit light introduced to third light guides 21 respectively in accordance with movements of key tops 14. Plural optical filters 22 and 23 like plane plates which reflect light in a prescribed wavelength band and transmit the other light are obliquely arranged at branch points between first and second light guides 19 and 20 and between third and second light guides 21 and 20, and light in the prescribed wavelength band which is made incident on a third light guide 21 is emitted to the second light guide 20 through the switch 30 corresponding to an operated key top 14. |
