PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear medicine gamma-ray camera which is used to form an image for diagnosis. SOLUTION: A rotating gantry 16 defines a subject receiving aperture 18. A subject to be inspected is supported inside the subject receiving aperture 18 by a support. A plurality of detector heads 20a to 20c are attached to the rotating gantry 16 so as to be movable. The detector heads 20a to 20c are turned around the subject together with the rotation of the rotating gantry 16. A plurality of radiation sources are attached to the detector heads 20a to 20c in such a way that transmission radiations from the radiation sources are guided toward the corresponding detector heads 20a to 20c positioned so as to be faced through the subject receiving aperture 18, and that the transmission radiations are received by the detector heads 20a to 20c. A translational motion means translationally moves the detector heads 20a to 20c independently and in a direction lateral to the tangent-line direction of the subject receiving aperture 18. When the translational motion means translationally moves the detector heads 20a to 20c to the lateral direction, a contour measuring operation in response to the transmission radiations received by the detector heads 20a to 20c is executed, and it measures the outside boundary of the subject.
|
