PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to excellently adjust the brightness of information displayed or the like on a display part such as audio appliances. SOLUTION: This display device is provided with a display control means in which when a brightness displayed on a display means 41 by operation of an operating means is adjusted, the displayed information on a 1st area 42a of the display means 41 is displayed in the brightness designated at the time and the displayed information on a 2nd area 42b of the display means 41 is displayed in a fixed brightness regardless of the operation of the operating means. Then, after finishing the brightness adjustment by the operating means, the display information on the 1st and 2nd areas 42a, 42b are displayed in the adjusted brightness.
