PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide assurance in operation of a device by not allowing external interference during transportation and measurement. SOLUTION: A device 10 is for measuring a hard gelatin capsule 1 or similar. A measurement cell 27 comprising a measured-object reception part 25, a hard gelatin capsule supply channel 13, a discharge channel 34 which, connected to the measured-object reception part, comprises an outlet sluice element 38, and a transportation device which transports the hard gelatin capsule to the measured-object reception part and the discharge channel from the supply channel, are provided. Here, the transportation device comprises an impeller 40, and blades 41 of the impeller protrude in the supply channel, the discharge channel, and the measured-object reception part as slits 42, 43, and 44 while an almost closed transportation chamber 48 for the hard gelatin capsule is formed between two blades.
