<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the transmission reliability of the system by accurately reproducing packet identification information without error even in the case of using a radio channel. SOLUTION: A transport stream outputted from a TS multiplex section 41 in a transmitter side device is given to an error correction coding section 44 via a selection switch 43, where an error correction code is inserted to excess bits of a PID inserted to each header of each TS packet and the resulting stream is transmitted. On the other hand, the receiver side device applies error correction decoding processing to each PID inserted to each header of each TS packet in the received transport stream based on the error correction code added to the excess bits to reproduce the PID.</p> |
