<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an efficient multi-cast function that aims at traffic with a larger band without limiting an input band of a cell stated to be multi-cast. SOLUTION: A table control section 161 manages uni-cast queues 21-11,..., 21-1m, 21-21,..., 21-2m,..., 21-n1,..., 21-nm and multi-cast queues 22-1,..., 22-n. In the case that a queue is in existence in the multi-cast queues 22-1,..., 22-n, no uni-cast cell is selected by port schedulers 23-1,..., 23-n, and the multi-cast cell is sent only once in the same cell cycle as that of the uni-cast cell to each port of multi-cast object to which cell transmission is set by, e.g. only once by suppressing output of the unit-cast cell.</p> |
