mower has provision for feeding a treatment liquid to the underside of the cutting blades so as to be applied directly to the stems of the cut vegetation. Fluid is fed through fitting 74 to a circumferential well 78 in a flange fixed to blade drive shaft 61. A bore leads from this well to a radial bore 81 that connects with an axial bore 83 in the driveshaft. This enables fluid to be fed continuously to bore 83. The bore 83 is connected to fluid distribution passages 96 in blade carriers 91. The fluid is fed from these passages to the underside of the mower blades.
