PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the processing unit efficient and to reduce the cost by setting an operating mode corresponding to each function of image processing to a color image or a monochromatic image and assigning access to image processing data stored corresponding to each operating mode through divisions of the access corresponding to each operating mode. SOLUTION: It takes time of 16 times a memory access time for one pixel cycle in a color copy mode, it takes time of 8 times in a color scan mode, it takes time of a 4 times in a monochromic copy mode, and it takes time of 2 times in a monochromic scan mode. Since plural image processing data corresponding to each functional mode are stored in one memory and access time is assigned through divisions corresponding to each functional mode, the memory access time is reduced in a mode such as the monochromic scan mode where the processing is light and a high speed operation is a requirement, and the memory access time is increased in a mode such as the color copy mode where the processing is heavy to obtain an optimum processing speed in each mode. |
