摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an endless belt for an electrophotographic device excellent in durability and capable of stably traveling it without meandering even in the case of long-term use by constituting the belt by bonding a rib for guiding in the state that the length of the inner peripheral surface of the rib for guiding is made a little shorter than that on a base material side. SOLUTION: A material for an intermediate transfer belt in obtained by using a T die or an annular die, after cutting it as a flat sheet to specified size and bonding the both ends thereof. A rib for guiding 3 is bonded along the side edge on the inner peripheral surface of a flexible film type base material 2 having the specified width obtained in this way. A material to form the rib 3 is not restricted particularly if it is flexible and has bending resistance but it is desirable to use elastomer whose the hardness is <=60 deg., desirably, <=50 deg.. To put it concretely, silicone rubber is good from viewpoint of adhesive property to the base material 2, electric insulating property and environmental performance such as moisture resistance, solvent resistance, ozone resistance and heat resistance.
