摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tracking servo mechanism improved in the degree of freedom in the design and having stable performance. SOLUTION: A tracking error detector 43 generates a tracking error signal from a reflection beam from an optical disk of the converged light by an objective lens 42 supported to a tracking actuator 41. This error signal is inputted to a multiplication/addition circuit 7 via a phase/low band compensation circuit 5. Furthermore, a lens position detector 44 detects the present position of the objective lens 42, and generates a positional signal showing the present position to output it to the multiplication/addition circuit 7. The multiplication/addition circuit 7 multiplies the inputted position signal by a prescribed proportional constant A, and adds the multiplied result to the inputted error signal to output the added result to a drive circuit 6 as a drive signal. The drive circuit 6 drives the tracking actuator 41 by the inputted drive signal, so as to move the objective lens 42 in the orthogonal direction with the track.
