PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a piezoelectric element as desired by adjusting a voltage used to charge the piezoelectric element every time it is requested or selecting it out of voltages differing in height. SOLUTION: The charge of a piezoelectric element begins through a 1st piezoelectric element charging current circuit by turning on the 1st piezoelectric element charging current circuit (turning switches 3a and 11 on and switches 4a, 5a and 6a off). The charging current rises very rapidly up to a maximum value after the 1st piezoelectric element charging current circuit is turned on and then, falls very quickly. When the extension of the piezoelectric element as desired can not be obtained by charging the piezoelectric element through the 1st piezoelectric element charging circuit, the charging is 'only' performed by using another supply voltage. The charge of the piezoelectric element begins through a 2nd piezoelectric element charging current circuit by turning on the current circuit (by turning the switches 5a and 11 on and the switches 3a, 4a and 6a off).
