PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration motor which can generate vibration efficiently with a simple construction. SOLUTION: The rotor 2 of a vibration motor which vibrates in accordance with the rotation of the rotor 2 has 1st and 2nd salient poles 21 and 22 to which exciting coils 21a and 22a are respectively applied, and a 3rd salient pole 23 to which an exciting coil is not applied. The 3rd salient pole 23 has a shape different from the shapes of the 1st and 2nd salient poles. Further, a weight is attached to the rotor 2 so as to make the center of gravity of the rotor 2 rotate with the rotary shaft 2a of the rotor as the center of rotation.
