PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an optical fiber fixing device which is capable of fixing an optical fiber with simple constitution and is capable of easily coupling and removing the topical fiber and an optical transmission module to and from each other. SOLUTION: This fixing device has a holding tongue piece 16a which is disposed to extend toward the center of an aperture 15 penetrated through an anti-pull plate P, holds an optical fiber F by bringing its front end section into pressurized contact with a coating member 19 at the outer peripheral surface of this optical fiber and is formed to curve in the insertion direction of the optical fiber F and an elastic contact tongue piece 16b which is elastically brought into contact with the front end part 11 of the front end of a sleeve S and is energized in the pulling direction of a sleeve S.
