PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber guide block capable of positioning and fixing all of a plurality of optical fibers with high accuracy and a process for producing the same as well as an optical fiber array positioned and fixed with all of a plurality of the optical fibers with high accuracy. SOLUTION: This optical fiber guide block has plural optical fiber engaging parts 20a to 20d exhibiting a groove shape and is formed to such a shape that the positions on the front surfaces or top ends of the boundary parts of the optical fiber engaging parts adjacent to each other are lower than the marginal parts on the optical fiber engaging part side on the front surfaces 22a of left peripheral regions or the marginal parts on the optical fiber engaging part side at the front surfaces 22b of right peripheral regions, that the flanks on the optical fiber engaging part side in the left peripheral regions and the left flanks of the optical fiber engaging parts in proximity to the left peripheral regions are the planes different from each other and that the flanks on the optical fiber engaging part side in the right peripheral regions and the right flanks of the optical fiber engaging parts in proximity to the right peripheral regions are also the planes different from each other.
