摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a call waiting system capable of urging the restarting of a call from a subscriber's terminal where the call is held. SOLUTION: When there is an in-call incoming to a contract subscriber's terminal A of a call waiting service from a third party terminal C, a user of a subscriber's terminal B where a call is held by switch operation of the terminal A transmits an urging signal for urging call restart by depressing a function button (for example, * and #) of a PB dial. The urging signal is detected by an urging signal detection part 5, an urging tone for audibly displaying that the call restart is urged is generated by an urging tone generation part 6 and is supplied to the contractor subscriber's terminal A. Thus, the user of the contract subscriber's terminal A knows that the call restart is urged. By the switch operation (hooking operation) on the contract subscriber' s terminal A side, the call between the terminal A and the terminal B is restarted. The third party terminal C put in a holding state can urge the call restart by transmitting the urging signal.
