PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the mixed connection of a bus type network and a loop type network without using any gateway nor router by transmitting the signals which are outputted from a certain node to all nodes and disappearing the output side of its own node via each loop by means of the most downstream node that is directly connected to a common transmission path or the node that transmits the signals. SOLUTION: A token analyzer of each of loop masters 110 and 120 compares a loop address 0 of a token master node 100 stored in an initialization sequence with the address of its own loop and then switches a switch to the B side after deciding a packet that is sent from another loop if no coincidence is confirmed between both addresses. Then each token analyzer of slave nodes 111, 112 and 121 switches the switch to the A side to transmit a packet in a token mode. The token packet sent from an optical star coupler 15 is canceled by the token analyzer of the node 100 on a loop 0 of the loop address 0.
