摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a torque detector having simple structure in which torque loss is reduced at low cost. SOLUTION: A cage 100 comprising rings 101a, 101b and a plurality of resilient poles 102 is secured to the opposite end parts of upper and lower shafts 20, 30 and a movable element 200 is secured across the resilient pole 102. The movable element 200 has wings 203, 213 being displaced significantly in the radial direction in response to slight torsion of the resilient pole 102. Radial displacement is detected by a detecting means, e.g. coils 41a, 41b, as an electromagnetic variation by generating flux in a magnetic circuit including the bas wings 203, 213. The wing 203, 213 has forward end extending in the axial direction of the resilient pole 102 and the attitude of a drum section 102 is varied in response to variation of torque thus causing radial variation of the wings 203, 213. Two detecting means, e.g. the wings 203, 213 and coils 41a, 41b, are disposed oppositely to a drum section 201.
