PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release setting of synchronization communication even when a resource possessing node, a transmission node and a reception node are not in existence on a same bus. SOLUTION: An owner (resource possessing node) 1, a talker (transmission node) 2, a listener (reception node) 3 connect to any of plurality of busest 4 being components of an IEEE1394 bus network. The method has a 1st step where a command is delivered and setting of communication is released from the owner 1 till a portal of a bridge 6, a 2nd step where a command is delivered and setting of communication is released between portals of the bridges 6, 6 on a same bus, and a 3rd step where a command is delivered and setting of communication is released between portals 60A, 60B of the same bridge 6. After the execution of the 1st step, the 2nd and 3rd steps are properly repeated, a command releasing setting of synchronization communication is sequentially delivered to release the setting of synchronization communication of the bus 4 for a path from the talker 2 to the listener 3 and the bridge 6.
