PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveguide system for a microwave oven shielding the microwaves leaked in the fitting space between a waveguide and the antenna of a magnetron, forming different openings on the waveguide, and improving the uniform cooking performance of food and drink. SOLUTION: This microwave oven is provided with a cooking chamber of a cavity in which the microwave energy generated from a magnetron through an antenna is radiated and a waveguide system guiding and radiating the microwave energy into the cooking chamber of the cavity. The waveguide system includes a first opening section 102 formed at the contact portion with the cavity, extended along the longitudinal direction, and dispersively radiating the microwave energy into the cooking chamber and a second opening section 104 formed apart from the first opening section 102 at the prescribed angle, extended in the horizontal direction, and dispersively radiating the microwave energy into the cooking chamber.
