PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve shielding performance even to high-energyγrays by forming the barrier plate thickness of a collimator thinner than the characteristic resolution of a scintillation camera and providing the collimator with a length to satisfy a specific expression. SOLUTION: The barrier plate thickness of a collimator is formed thinner than the characteristic resolution of a scintillation camera, and the collimator is provided with a length a2 to satisfy the expression. In the expression, Rg represents the geometrical resolution of the collimator, Ri represents the characteristic resolution of the scintillation camera, b1 represents the occurrence location ofγrays and the distance between the collimators, c1 represents the distance between the collimator and the scintillator, andμrepresents the absorbance coefficient ofγrays to lead. The barrier plate thickness is formed thinner than the characteristic resolution of the camera in this way to eliminate the shadow of the barrier plate over a scintigram, and the length of the collimator is lengthened to secure distance necessary for shielding. By this, it is possible to manufacture collimators with necessary shielding performance without the occurrence of shadows.
