PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize processing concerning film such as photometry or printing or the like by making the light transmissivity of the film stable. SOLUTION: Relating to this device 10; when the film 12 is carried to a specified stop position by a film carrying unit 14, it is irradiated with light from a light source 16 so as to perform scanning and exposure. Meanwhile, when the film 12 is not carried to the prescribed stop position, it is irradiated with the light from the light source 16 and a dimming filter 18 is moved onto an optical path so as to cut light quantity. By operating a keyboard 32, the position of the film 12 is adjusted. When the adjusting time exceeds a prescribed time, the film 12 is shielded from the light by a shutter 20 and the density of the film 12 is restored to be within tolerance, then shielding the light is released so as to perform the scanning and the exposure. When the adjusting time is within the prescribed time, the scanning and the exposure are performed without shielding the light thereafter.
