PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce variation in optical properties such as brightness and color tone to the minimum by forming regions in which no color filter is formed, so that the total area of these regions is made constant, even at the time the sticking position of a color filter formation region is deviated from that of a pixel electrode region. SOLUTION: In this device, even at the time the a color filter substrate is deviated by stuck to a lower side substrate, at the time of comparing the total area S(C') of regions C1' and C2' (S(C')=(C1')+(C2')), in which no color filter 11 is formed, with the design total area (S(C)) of design regions C1 and C2 (S(C)=(C1)+(C2)), in which no color filter 11 is formed when they are struck with designed accuracy, the relational expression S(C')=S(C) is alway satisfied. Thus, in the device provided with a color filter substrate having the region in which no color filter is formed, even when some deviation of the area due to the sticking is caused, since a color filter is formed in an unchanged pattern shape as a whole to inhibit changes in chromaticity and brightness from being caused. |
