PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the accurate setting in a short time of a surveying device to monitor the direction in which a pipe is propelled by a pipe burying device. SOLUTION: A surveying device 3 measures the course of a pipe which is pushed forward from the rear and is buried underground as the ground is being excavated by a pipe burying device 2 placed in a shaft 1. In this case, a laser oscillator 20 to oscillate a laser beam upward is supported and provided in a device body case 11 to be placed in the shaft 1, and a semi-transmitting type optical member such as a semi-transmitting prism 32 to diverse laser light upward and sideways is placed in the optical path of the laser light oscillated by the laser oscillator 20. By this, it is possible for the laser oscillator 20 to oscillate laser light along a reference line 7 arranged above the laser oscillator 20 and in the direction in which the pipe is propelled. |
