PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating the characteristics of a printer by less measurement points in the printer of large number of color materials including a specified color and systematically obtaining the combination of the color materials corresponding to a target color. SOLUTION: This color resolving image correction device is for correcting color resolving image signals inputted as electric signals and reproducing the target color by using cyan C, magenta M, yellow Y, a high saturation color material and black K. At the time, it is provided with processing means 20 and 30 for performing combining so as to include at least an area reproduced by the combination of K and the other two colors and obtaining the combination of the color materials used for image output.
