PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the electronic component with a metal terminal plate which can reduce unwanted inductance generated by the metal terminal plate and have desired electric characteristics. SOLUTION: A 1st metal terminal plate 9 is joined with a 1st end surface of an electronic component chip 7 constituted by stacking laminate capacitors 2 to 6 as electronic component elements and 2nd metal terminal plate 10 is joined with a 2nd end surface. The 1st and 2nd metal terminal plates 9 and 10 have 1st terminal plate parts 9a and 10a joined with the 1st and 2nd end surfaces respectively and 2nd terminal plate parts 9b and 10b which are folded from the lower-end edges of the 1st terminal plates 9a and 10a toward the other end surfaces and led out of the lower area of the electronic component chip 7 along the width.
