method of mail distribution involves assigning a unique, lifetime Post Number to each subscriber. This Post Number remains the same even though the subscriber changes his or her address. The subscriber gives out the Post Number instead of an address. Mail to the subscriber is addressed using the Post Number. The mail goes to a postal centre which maintains a database of Post Numbers and the corresponding subscriber's addresses. The mail is then re-addressed with the subscriber's postal address, and then sent on to that address. The method is stated to eliminate the need for subscribers to inform others of their changes of address.
