MANUFACTURE OF ALUMINUM ELECTRODE FOIL FOR ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR AND ETCHING DEVICE USED FOR SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacture of the aluminum electrode foil for an electrolytic capacitor which suppresses excessive etching and has high electrostatic capacity per unit area. SOLUTION: Etching tanks 1a to 1c containing acidic aqueous solution are provided. Aluminum foil 2 is passed through the etching tanks 1a to 1c in order. The aluminum foil 2 is applied with a voltage and etched to form pits, thus manufacturing the aluminum electrode foil for an electrolytic capacitor. For the etching, the oxygen concentration of the acidic aqueous solution 3 put in the etching tanks 1a to 1c is controlled independently by the etching tanks 1a to 1c.
