摘要 The method interpolates on pixel by pixel base a replacement value for data pixels in identified erroneous band (56) on basis of interpolation of data values inside proximity level for each data pixel (64). Substitutes replacement value at data pixel (64) contained in erroneous band at detection point, or value of erroneous pixel is outside range defined by set value. The method involves analyzing scanned network (52) in point mode to form series of data bands (56) each with series of data pixels (64). Error control code is calculated for each data band (56). Each data band with its associated calculated error control code is transferred from scanner to printer and compared with associated error control code to determine if transferred band (56) is erroneous. Interpolates on a pixel by pixel base a replacement value for the data pixels included in the identified erroneous band (56) on the basis of an interpolation of data values inside a proximity level for each data pixel (64), and; - substitute the replacement value at the data pixel (64) contained in the erroneous band (56) at the detection point, or the value of the erroneous pixel (64) is outside the range defined by a set value. An Independent claim is included for a digital scanner which uses the method.
