PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video camera which can write character title information obtd. by automatically converting from a voice in addition to video information and can be easily used. SOLUTION: This video camera is provided with a means 121 for photographing a video, a means 110 for converting a voice to characters and a means 124 for synthesizing the converted characters with the video, and the video information and title characters are recorded or displayed. Thus, the character information obtd. from a voice can be automatically displayed and recorded without setting the title characters one by one by a user and this video camera can be easily used by anybody so that it has the effect of extremely improved operability.
