Matrix production method for confining waste, notably waste containing toxic heavy metals

A method for the production of a matrix for confining waste comprises the following stages:- a) making up a mortar by mixing the waste with a binder of the type that is the source of a dissolution precipitation reaction that leads to hardening; b) casting this mortar; c) submitting the cast mortar to a compression operation at the end of casting and at the instant in which resistance's are developing in the cast mortar. An Independent claim is included for a confinement matrix manufactured using the described technique.
