<p>α-Hydroxy-η-carboxymuconic acid-ε-semialdehyde dehydrogenase; a gene encoding this enzyme; a recombinant vector containing this gene and a transformant carrying this gene; and a process for producing the above enzyme and 2-pyrone-4,6-dicarboxylic acid by using the above transformant. Use of the transformant makes it possible to produce highly active α-hydroxy-η-carboxymuconic acid-ε-semialdehyde dehydrogenase in a large amount, which enables the industrial production of 2-pyrone-4,6-dicarboxylic acid.</p> |
