A magnetic tape cartridge (1) comprising a flat rectangular parallelepiped cartridge case (7) formed with an upper half (2) and a lower half (3) connected to each other by a connecting means in which a single reel (4) with a magnetic tape (20) wound thereon is stored rotatably, wherein a non-contact memory device (30) is disposed inside the lower half (3) at at least one location among three corner parts excluding a corner part where an opening part (26) for pulling out magnetic tape (20) is installed.
