FIELD: heat power production, in particular, for liberation of power equivalent to nuclear bond energy in conductor upon its thermionic blast. SUBSTANCE: method involves passing electric current through crystal assembly, which forms current conductor. Density of electric current is gradually increased from minimal to maximal value. Conductor is subjected to forced cooling. Thermionic blast is detected by thermionic wave that appears in conductor. Corresponding device has current-conducting material, power supply, conductor, which is designed as thin film with developed surface, which is subjected to forced cooling. EFFECT: production of kinetic energy of blast products, which is caused by thermionic blast of cold solid metal and is significantly higher that electric energy consumed for production of thermionic blast. 6 dwg, 2 tbl
