The drive plate (1) has a torque sensor mounted in one of three equally-spaced peripheral openings. Three engine torque input points are arranged on the circumference between at least two openings. The drive plate (1) is made of constant thickness sheet material and flange-mounted centrally onto the end of an engine crankshaft (5) to transfer torque applied by the engine to a hydrodynamic torque converter.
