The distribution rail (1) has a rail channel (2) containing the electrical current rails, which is mounted horizontally, with a tread surface (3) positioned over the rail channel, provided with a non-slip surface structure. The tread surface (3) is provided by a horizontal surface (4) supported at agiven spacing above the rail channel (2) by supports having fixing elements (6) lying on either side of the rail channel and cross members supporting the horizontal surface.
