The flowmeter has a pipeline section formed as a cast block (50). The wall of the pipeline section (60) is part of the cast block or is formed by it. The magnet system has an annular magnetic short circuit body (23) and is also cast in the cast block, in which a magnet coil (21) is arranged displaced off center. The pipeline section is formed by a passage opening or bore which is brought in by the cast block, and is also positioned inside the short circuit body. An Independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing the flowmeter.
