FIELD: entertainment games, in particular, using game devices and information carriers. SUBSTANCE: game and/or other transactions are achieved by means of game device using information carriers, which are designed as smart cards or other information carriers. Invention provides possibility of selection and running games and their stages which are stored in memory unit of game device and/or information carrier and running other operation. Also device provides possibility to store desired information into memory unit of game device or information carrier from data stored in memory unit of carrier and/or game device, or input by means of additional data and command input unit. Goal of invention is achieved by verification of authenticity of information carrier, detection of possibility for playing game or and/other transactions and playing game or and/other transactions using autonomous game device. System has autonomous game device and information carrier, which has interface, processor, and memory unit. Game device has processor with memory unit, microcontroller, displaying unit, data and command input unit, unit for verification of authenticity of information carrier and unit for reading transaction and/or game properties from information carrier.
