A hydraulically-operated automotive clutch mechanism has a cylinder-piston unit (1) comprising a ring-shaped cylindrical housing (2) and an inner guide tube (3) which are separated by a pressure chamber (4). The pressure chamber (4) has a piston (5) with a seal (6) resting against the inner face of the housing (2), with sealing lips (9, 10) against the tube (3) outer face (8). The seal (6) is joined to a holding ring (11) fixed to the piston (6), and to an end section (12) of the piston (5).
