A heat transfer and delivery system (10) including an endothermic reactor (11) in which ammonia in the presence of a catalyst is converted or partly converted into nitrogen and hydrogen, an exothermic reactor (12) in which nitrogen and hydrogen are reconverted into ammonia and a conveying duct assembly (16) for conveying ammonia, nitrogen and hydrogen between the endothermic reactor (11) and endothermic reactor (12) and including an outer duct (14) for containing ammonia and an inner duct (15) for containing hydrogen and nitrogen located within the outer duct (14). The heat energy for the endothermic reactor (11) is provided by a solar energy concentrator which concentrates solar energy on a hollow energy collection element which contains a catalyst through which ammonia is passed for conversion or partial conversion into nitrogen and hydrogen.
